Pastoral Care
At Leadhill the welfare and happiness of the child is central to our ethos. We aim to provide a friendly and caring environment where children are happy in their learning. We aim to raise the self-esteem of all our pupils and help them feel secure in the knowledge that they are valued members of our school community.
This is fostered in several ways, including:
Positive Behaviour
We adopt a positive approach to discipline, frequently praising and ‘rewarding’ children for good behaviour.
We encourage our pupils to have:
- Self respect
- Respect for others and their property
- Respect for the environment
- Toleance and appreciation of the opinions of others
- Good manners and politeness

They contribute to the smooth running of the school as well as giving pupils opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork and organisational skills.
